Memorial Day Tribute to My Dad 🇺🇸
Today, I honor the memory of my Dad—a proud Vietnam War veteran, a self-made entrepreneur, and one of the greatest encouragers I’ve ever known.
He served his country bravely, not knowing that years later, he would pay the ultimate price for that service. His prostate cancer, we later learned, was caused by exposure to Agent Orange—not genetics. But even in that, he never complained. He carried his service with quiet strength and dignity.
As my Dad, he gave me the kind of love that stretches beyond a lifetime. I’ll never forget our long walks on the beach, or car rides where he would ask, “What do you want to do with your life?” And then, without hesitation, he would give me both the wisdom and the resources to make those dreams real. He paid for my college education and my braces, always wanting me to face the world with confidence and a beautiful smile.
He also gave me the gift of entrepreneurship. Working with him at his company, U.S. Chemtech, he challenged me to get out of my comfort zone—whether it was working in the lab or out in the oil fields in his dress code Sears Tough Skin Jeans (we had a few battles over that dress code! 😂). But every experience shaped who I am today.
He built multiple companies that reached 7 figures and still had time to take my phone calls when I needed business advice. I miss those calls more than I can put into words.
This Memorial Day, I remember him not just as a soldier, but as the man who taught me how to lead, dream big, and never settle.
Thank you, Dad. For your service. For your love. For believing in me.
I miss you deeply and carry your legacy in everything I do. 💔🇺🇸
